The Reader

I watched a film this evening...
One that makes me write...
It's that great a story...
Perhaps even a greater lesson...

To allow someone who loves you,
Who cares,
To give you that courage to better,
Better yourself.

Not your physical,
But your soul.

To believe in all dis-beliefs,
To embark on a journey you would have otherwise, not be brave enough for.

To not ignore,
To not reject,
To trust...

That is of course the learner.

As for the teacher...
Acquire patience,
Even when you think you already have, an abundance of...
To believe in dis-beliefs yourself.
For they are as true as any part of history ever written.

To not ignore,
To not reject,
To trust...

A moment's worth of learning,
Takes a lifetime to truely acquire...
Through applying to moments of that very same lifetime,
To then...
Better...

Roles reversed every moment...
Failure is true when one of the two refuses to reciprocate.
A slow student is still,
A student...
Just as much as an unsuccessful teacher.
